Under the guidance of Mrs. Hina Khurram, 30 children between the ages of 4 and 14 gather regularly to hear God’s Word, pray together, sing Christian songs, and take part in engaging Bible learning activities. In this Sunday school, children are taught the truths of the Holy Bible through Bible stories, memory verses, songs, prayer, and creative learning methods. Through these lessons, they learn about God’s creation, the love of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sins, prayer, and Christian living. We follow a structured Sunday School syllabus consisting of 18 green booklets, which help children study the Bible in a clear and systematic way. In addition, seasonal Bible lessons are taught during important Christian seasons such as Christmas, Easter, and other church celebrations, helping children understand the life and work of Jesus throughout the year. Children are also encouraged to develop healthy church habits such as: Our goal is to help children grow in faith and always remember this beautiful promise: “Jesus loves me, and I belong to Him.” Lutheran Teaching About Children In the Lutheran Church, children are treasured as members of God’s family. Through the hearing of God’s Word, the Holy Spirit creates and strengthens faith even in young hearts, which is why teaching children the Bible is an important part of the church’s mission. Jesus Himself said: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”Mark 10:14 The reformer Martin Luther also stressed the importance of teaching children God’s Word. He taught that parents and teachers have the responsibility to instruct children in the Scriptures so they may grow in faith and remain firmly rooted in Christ.
