Under the guidance of Mrs. Benish Pervaiz, 50 children between the ages of 4 and 14 gather regularly to hear God’s Word, pray together, sing Christian songs, and participate in Bible learning activities. In this Sunday school, children are taught the truths of the Holy Bible through Bible stories, memory verses, songs, prayer, and creative learning methods. Through these lessons, they learn about God’s creation, the love of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sins, prayer, and Christian life. Our Sunday school follows a structured syllabus of 18 green booklets, which guide children step by step through important Bible teachings and stories. In addition, seasonal Bible lessons are taught during important Christian seasons such as Christmas, Easter, and other church celebrations. These lessons help children understand the life and work of Jesus throughout the year. Children are also encouraged to develop healthy church habits such as: Our aim is to help children grow in faith and always remember the comforting truth: “Jesus loves me, and I belong to Him.” Lutheran Teaching About Children In the Lutheran Church, children are valued as precious members of God’s family. Through the hearing of God’s Word, the Holy Spirit works faith even in young hearts. For this reason, teaching the Bible to children is a vital part of the church’s ministry. Jesus Himself said: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”Mark 10:14 The reformer Martin Luther also emphasized the importance of teaching children the Word of God. He reminded the church that parents and teachers have a sacred responsibility to instruct children in Scripture so they may grow strong in faith and remain rooted in Christ.
